Judge OKs Class, Settlement In Black & Decker Wages Suit

Law360, New York (November 2, 2012, 7:03 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge on Friday certified a class of Black & Decker Inc. retail specialists and preliminarily approved a $600,000 settlement in their lawsuit accusing the company of withholding overtime payments and falsifying time sheets.

U.S. District Judge Michael A. Telesca signed off on the settlement brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act and New York labor law, after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit remanded the case in 2011.
