Goldman Asks 2nd Circ. To Send Bias Case To Arbitration

Law360, New York (November 7, 2012, 7:45 PM EST) -- The Goldman Sachs Group Inc. on Wednesday asked the Second Circuit to force an employee class action alleging widespread discrimination against women into arbitration, arguing that the woman signed an arbitration agreement.

Lisa Parisi, a Goldman employee who claims she and other women at the Wall Street firm were treated worse than their male counterparts, will not give up any rights in the arbitration she agreed to when she took her job, Goldman's lawyer told a Second Circuit panel at oral arguments in Manhattan.
