Weingarten Realty Investors Hit With Sex Discrimination Suit

Law360, New York (November 5, 2012, 4:54 PM EST) -- Real estate investment trust Weingarten Realty Investors was hit with a sex discrimination suit Monday in Texas federal court by a former executive who accused the company's top brass of maintaining an "elitist 'good-old-boy' network" that discriminated against women.

Former Weingarten director Kristin Horn alleges that Weingarten maintained a hostile work environment in which top male executives frequently berated, embarrassed or mistreated female employees, while also paying them less than their male counterparts within the company.
