Ex-GameStop VP Admits To Embezzling $2M In Plea Deal

Law360, New York (November 5, 2012, 6:02 PM EST) -- A former public relations executive for GameStop Texas LLP on Friday admitted to embezzling nearly $2 million from the video game retailer, pleading guilty in Texas federal court in response to a federal indictment.

Frank Christopher Olivera pled guilty to one count of mail fraud — which carries a maximum 20-year prison sentence and maximum $250,000 fine — over allegations that he exploited his executive position to submit false vendor invoices to GameStop and forward $1,965,900 in payments to a fictitious company.
