KBR Says FCA Suit Over Iraq Electrical Work Lacks Specifics

Law360, New York (November 7, 2012, 1:56 PM EST) -- KBR Inc. pressed a Virginia federal judge Monday to dismiss a False Claims Act suit by a former employee who claims the military contractor billed the government for faulty electrical work at U.S. Army bases in Iraq, saying the complaint did not identify specific, fraudulent invoices.

The whistleblower, John McLain, worked for KBR as an electrician stationed in Al-Hillah, Iraq, from 2005 to 2007. He claims KBR billed the government for its services even though its personnel did not comply with electrical maintenance and testing requirements...
