Paramount, 'Hustle & Flow' Producer Settle Contract Suit

Law360, New York (November 7, 2012, 3:19 PM EST) -- Film director and producer John Singleton and Paramount Pictures Corp. last week settled a lawsuit accusing the company of breaking an agreement to produce two of his future film projects in exchange for the rights to distribute the 2005 movie “Hustle & Flow."

Singleton's attorneys informed a Los Angeles court that the parties had reached a deal to end the litigation Thursday, according to court documents. A trial over Singleton's breach of contract case was scheduled to begin later this month.
