Teamsters Ruling Could Take PE Funds Off Pension Hook

Law360, New York (November 9, 2012, 8:31 PM EST) -- A recent ruling in a court battle between Sun Capital Advisors Inc. and a Teamsters pension fund could release private equity firms from retirement obligations at companies they own, clearing up a fuzzy legal area and simplifying due diligence, lender talks and portfolio risk, attorneys say.
