W-H Energy Services Faces FLSA Class Action

Law360, New York (November 5, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Oil company W-H Energy Services Inc. and its subsidiary Coil Tubing Services LLC were hit with a proposed class action on Friday brought by employees who say that they were misclassified as exempt from overtime pay while working about 105 hours per week.

The 12 named plaintiffs in the case allege they were classified as exempt from the overtime requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act while working as service employees for Coil Tubing Services, which was acquired by W-H in 2001. The plaintiffs all worked...
