Fresenius Pays Nearly $1M To End Dialysis Clinic OT Suit

Law360, New York (November 13, 2012, 8:24 PM EST) -- Fresenius Medical Care Holdings Inc. agreed Friday to pay just less than $1 million to more than 4,000 workers at the company's California dialysis clinics, resolving their allegations that the company forced them to work through meal breaks without pay.

Fresenius will divvy up $980,000 to anyone who worked at its California clinics between November 2005 and March 2012, putting to rest three years of litigation over whether the company's break-related actions breached state labor laws.
