Judge Allows Bulk Of J&J Suit To Go Forward

Law360, New York (November 6, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge will allow most of a trademark dispute between the American Red Cross and Johnson & Johnson over the red cross symbol to go forward.

In a decision filed Tuesday, Judge Jed S. Rakoff of the U.S. District Court for the District of Southern New York tossed a claim alleging that the Red Cross had promised not to engage in the sale of first aid, health, safety and emergency preparedness products. But a number of other claims will go forward.
