Fed. Law Trumps Choice of Forum Agreements, 5th Circ. Says

Law360, New York (November 20, 2012, 4:46 PM EST) -- Private forum-selection contracts cannot override federal venue laws, the Fifth Circuit held on Monday in a government contracts dispute, departing from several other circuit holdings and setting up a potential U.S. Supreme Court review of the interpretation of the high court's 1988 decision in Stewart Organization Inc. v. Ricoh Corp.
