Charter Seeks to Block Subpoenas for Names of Music Swappers

Law360 (November 20, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- Charter Communications has asked a judge to delay an order to give the Recording Industry Association of America information identifying about 150 of its customers who are suspected of illegally distributing copyrighted music over the internet.

The cable company has until Friday to comply with the order after U.S. District Judge Carol Jackson rejected its request that she block the subpoenas.
