Reebok Ties Up Trainer's Patent Suit Over Toning Clothes

Law360, New York (November 29, 2012, 1:56 PM EST) -- Reebok International Ltd. has resolved a fitness trainer's claims that the company's EasyTone line of women's apparel infringed her patented design for muscle-toning athletic clothes, according to a settlement approved Tuesday in California federal court.

U.S. District Judge Marilyn L. Huff approved an agreement reached by Reebok and Linda Karecki, a fitness trainer and model who had claimed Reebok stole her novel type of elastic workout clothing that forces muscles to strain during a wearer's normal day-to-day activities.
