MetLife Rumored To Pay $119M For Downtown Chicago Tower

Law360, New York (November 28, 2012, 5:14 PM EST) -- MetLife Inc.'s real estate division has continued its Chicago shopping spree with a $118.6 million deal for a luxury apartment high-rise in the Windy City's central Loop district, according to a Wednesday report.

The 50-story building at 215 W. Washington St. is, indeed, under contract, according to listing agent Holliday Fenoglio Fowler LP. While the parties were mum about the deal on Wednesday, Crain’s Chicago Business reported on its real estate website that MetLife was lined up as the buyer.
