Calif. Appellate Court OKs Antioch Wal-Mart Expansion

Law360, Los Angeles (November 28, 2012, 9:37 PM EST) -- A California appeals court on Tuesday handed Wal-Mart Stores Inc. a major victory in its long-running effort to expand in Antioch, Calif., ruling the city properly applied its development plan when it approved a superstore expansion without reviewing environmental issues.

A three-judge panel of the California Court of Appeal held that supplemental environmental impact reports aren't always required under the California Environmental Quality Act for property development or store expansion.
