Analytics Co. Wins TRO In Suit Over Twitter Data Access

Law360, New York (November 29, 2012, 7:40 PM EST) -- Social media analytics company PeopleBrowsr Inc. won a temporary restraining order Wednesday in California state court compelling Twitter Inc. to provide PeopleBrowsr full access to Twitter’s massive data feed, “Firehose,” in a suit accusing Twitter of interfering with its business and restricting competition.

San Francisco Superior Court Judge Ronald E. Quidachay signed off on PeopleBrowsr’s application for a TRO and set a hearing date for Jan. 8 for the parties to show cause for a preliminary injunction in their dispute over access to Twitter’s data goldmine,...
