Model Accuses Sean “Puffy” Combs Of Misusing His Image

Law360, New York (September 5, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Male supermodel Tyson Beckford has sued rap-mogul-turned-fashionista Sean “Puffy” Combs for misusing his image after their advertising agreement collapsed amid a dispute over payments.

In his complaint, Beckford accuses Combs of unfair competition, trademark infringement, false endorsement, false association, and dilution of his image, under the Lanham Act. He also alleges breach of contract and unjust enrichment, a violation of the Right of Publicity under New York Civil Rights Law.
