RIM Wins Arbitration In BlackBerry Service Outage Row

Law360, New York (December 5, 2012, 6:52 PM EST) -- BlackBerry maker Research In Motion Ltd. on Tuesday won its bid to arbitrate claims by a proposed class of BlackBerry owners over a 2011 outage in the smartphone’s services when a California federal judge found that its arbitration agreement could be enforced after certain provisions were cut from it.
