SEC Exodus Claims GC, Trading And Markets Chief

Law360, New York (December 5, 2012, 3:22 PM EST) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission said Wednesday that its general counsel and trading and markets division chief would both step down, continuing an exodus of key leaders from the agency.

SEC general counsel Mark Cahn will leave at the end of the year, while Division of Trading and Markets Director Robert Cook will depart after a “transitional period” to ensure continuity in the unit, the SEC said. It did not specify how long Cook planned to stay on.
