Austin Rejects 3-Month Delay For $90M Hotel Project Vote

Law360, New York (December 6, 2012, 6:29 PM EST) -- The Austin City Council punted a vote on a controversial $90 million hotel proposal on Thursday but refused to grant the developer's last-minute request to postpone the approval process for at least three months.

Moving the vote to Jan. 17, 2013, instead, the council denied the longer-term request of David Kahn of Gone to Texas Capital One LP, noting that the developer has already had about a year to resolve opposition by owners of neighboring office properties.
