NY Cosmos Soccer Club Settles Pa. Marketer's Commission Suit

Law360, Philadelphia (December 6, 2012, 7:09 PM EST) -- The revived New York Cosmos soccer team agreed Thursday to settle claims that the team breached its contract with a sports marketing firm over a series of games slated to be played in Las Vegas that the Cosmos unilaterally canceled.

The settlement, terms of which were not disclosed as part of a U.S. District Court filing announcing the deal, puts to rest the team’s dispute with Phoenicia Sports & Entertainment LLC, which filed suit against the Cosmos in January claiming it was owed $550,000 in fees...
