Disputed Evidence Gets In Dell Insider Trading Trial

Law360, New York (December 6, 2012, 8:03 PM EST) -- Evidence that hedge fund founder David Ganek conspired with a technology stock insider trading ring can be shown to a jury hearing criminal charges against Ganek's onetime colleague, Anthony Chiasson, a federal judge ruled Thursday.

U.S. District Judge Richard Sullivan said prosecutors had shown by a preponderance of evidence that Ganek, a co-founder of now-defunct hedge fund Level Global Investors LP with Chiasson, had conspired with a ring of finance professionals who traded on confidential information about technology companies.
