UTi Pays $3.2M To Settle Freight Forwarding Cartel Case

Law360, New York (December 11, 2012, 7:41 PM EST) -- UTi Worldwide Inc. on Monday agreed to pay more than $3.2 million to settle antitrust claims in a class action in New York federal court alleging a price-fixing conspiracy in the freight forwarding industry.

UTi, which provides global supply chain services, becomes the eighth company to reach a settlement with the plaintiffs, a group of companies including Mail Boxes Etc. Inc., Precision Associates Inc. and JCK Industries Inc.
