US Must Give Medicare Info In $726M Heart Implant FCA Suit

Law360, Chicago (December 11, 2012, 1:54 PM EST) -- A magistrate judge in Minnesota ordered the federal government on Monday to turn over documents related to Medicare coverage criteria in a $726 million whistleblower lawsuit against Boston Scientific Corp. unit Guidant LLC over allegedly fraudulent claims for defective cardiac implants.

U.S. Chief Magistrate Judge Arthur J. Boylan partly granted Guidant's motion to compel the government to cough up more discovery materials in the False Claims Act suit brought by whistleblower James Allen.
