'Secret Pipeline' Made Dell Traders Rich, Feds Tell Jury

Law360, New York (December 11, 2012, 7:56 PM EST) -- Former hedge fund executives Anthony Chiasson and Todd Newman used a “secret pipeline” to make about $70 million in Dell Inc. and Nvidia Corp., prosecutors said Tuesday in their final arguments to the jury in the insider trading case.

“Todd Newman and Anthony Chiasson got secret, confidential information from company insiders and used to it make millions of dollars in the stock market,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Antonia Apps said in her closing statement, dubbing the flow of information from insiders a secret pipeline.
