US Approves $120M Construction Loan For Dallas Light Rail

Law360, Houston (December 17, 2012, 3:32 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation on Thursday signed off on a $120 million construction loan to Dallas Area Rapid Transit for a segment of a 90-mile light rail network the city plans to have running by 2014.

U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood approved the loan for the third phase of DART’s Orange Line extension project, which will connect Irving, Texas, with Dallas Fort Worth Airport.
