Toys R Us Kiosks Copy Blockbuster Color Scheme, Suit Says

Law360, New York (December 14, 2012, 8:30 PM EST) -- Blockbuster LLC hit Toys R Us Inc. with a trademark infringement suit Friday in Texas federal court, alleging that the popular toy chain's blue and yellow DVD kiosks are so similar to Blockbuster’s well-known branding that they are likely to cause confusion.

In addition to trademark infringement, Blockbuster is accusing Toys R Us of unfair competition, saying the yellow and blue color scheme on the kiosks in multiple states are likely to cause confusion or allow customers to think the products are associated with Blockbuster....
