NJ Appeals Court Backs TD Bank In $5.9M Loan Dispute

Law360, New York (December 17, 2012, 2:41 PM EST) -- A New Jersey appeals court on Monday upheld TD Bank NA's win against a shopping center investor it accused of defaulting on more than $5.9 million, siding with a lower court's ruling that the company wasn't entitled to a loan extension.

Clinton Center Investors LLC argued the lower court erred in dismissing the suit in favor of TD Bank, saying there was evidence indicating TD Bank agreed to extend Clinton Center's loan, but the appellate court rejected the claim, saying Clinton Center's assertions were unsupported....
