Trenton Mayor Denies Role In Extortion Scheme

Law360, New York (December 19, 2012, 4:28 PM EST) -- Trenton, N.J., Mayor Tony Mack pled not guilty Wednesday in New Jersey federal court to charges stemming from an alleged scheme to take $119,000 in bribes to help cooperating witnesses develop a parking garage on city-owned land.

Mack, 46, was arrested in September along with his brother Ralphiel Mack, and convicted felon and close political associate Joseph A. “JoJo” Giorgianni in an undercover sting that began in September 2010, two months after Tony Mack took office.
