Nokia Moves To Stay Qualcomm Patent Battle

Law360, New York (November 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A bid by cellular giant Qualcomm Inc. to stay rival Nokia Corp.'s claims in the ongoing patent battle between the two companies has prompted Nokia to demand a stay of its own.

In a motion filed on Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Nokia asked Judge John Ward to stay Qualcomm's claims in the case until the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issues the results of a reexamination of all the patents involved in the litigation.
