Wireless Co. Loses Antitrust Bid In Rival's Counterfeiting Suit

Law360, San Francisco (January 10, 2013, 8:55 PM EST) -- A California federal judge overseeing computer network device maker Ubiquiti Networks Inc.'s trademark suit over purported counterfeiting by rival Kozumi USA Corp. on Thursday shot down Kozumi’s claims that Ubiquiti had violated antitrust laws by telling business partners Kozumi was a counterfeiter.

U.S. District Judge Claudia Wilken said Ubiquiti was within its rights to tell Kozumi's business contacts that it was suing the company for allegedly making and selling copycat versions of Ubiquiti's network products.
