Fla. Gov. Earmarks $36M For Port Navigation Fix

Law360, New York (January 14, 2013, 8:35 PM EST) -- With the federal budget still in question, Florida Gov. Rick Scott on Monday promised $36 million in state funding to fix a navigational issue at the Jacksonville port, a project that had previously depended on federal funding.

In addition to the state funding, the Jacksonville Port Authority, known as JAXPORT, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will pitch in $2 million to complete Phase II of the TraPac Container Terminal project at the port.
