Vornado Claims DSW Failed To Pay Full Rent At NJ Mall

Law360, New York (January 16, 2013, 1:43 PM EST) -- Ohio-based footwear retailer DSW Inc. failed to pay more than $500,000 in rent for a space at a Paramus, N.J., shopping center, a unit of Vornado Realty Trust says in a suit recently removed to New Jersey federal court.

Vornado sued DSW's subsidiary, DSW Shoe Warehouse Inc., in New Jersey state court on Dec. 5, claiming that the shoe retailer breached a 2007 lease agreement with Vornado's predecessor-in-interest and owes more than half of roughly $1.07 million in rental costs incurred between November 2008 and December...
