T-Mobile Wireless Patent Suit Should Be Tossed, Judge Says

Law360, New York (January 17, 2013, 1:26 PM EST) -- A Texas federal judge on Tuesday recommended the dismissal of a suit accusing T-Mobile USA Inc. of infringing a patent for technology that switches a wireless device between mobile Internet service and Wi-Fi.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Roy S. Payne said he did not believe T-Mobile had infringed Calypso Wireless Inc.’s patent because the T-Mobile devices at issue don’t meet a key requirement of Calypso’s patent.
