McDermott Will Anchor Chicago's 1st Spec Tower In Decade

Law360, New York (January 17, 2013, 4:09 PM EST) -- International law firm McDermott Will & Emery LLP has inked a letter of intent to anchor the first speculative office tower to be built in Chicago in over a decade, the firm confirmed Thursday.

The firm plans to lease 225,000 square feet of River Point, a 45-story project being developed by Hines Interests LP and backed by Canadian company Ivanhoe Cambridge. The deal, signed off on Wednesday, paves the way to ready a new space for the firm before its current lease ends in 2017....
