Pa. Rep. Floats Bill To Keep Lotto Money Out Of Campaigns

Law360, New York (January 22, 2013, 1:33 PM EST) -- A Pennsylvania lawmaker on Wednesday said he will introduce legislation banning any company running the state lottery from making campaign contributions to state elected officials and political candidates, in response to Gov. Tom Corbett's recent decision to privatize the lottery's management.

State Rep. Brandon Neuman, D-Washington, said that if Corbett is able to successfully outsource the lottery's management to British-based Camelot Global Services PA LLC, then the same prohibitions on campaign contributions that apply to the casinos industry should apply to the lottery.
