Telecom Co. Appeal Late, Despite Missed Notice: 2nd Circ.

Law360, Los Angeles (January 24, 2013, 9:29 PM EST) -- The Second Circuit on Thursday dismissed as untimely Communications Network International Ltd.’s bid to appeal a $2.4 million jury verdict in favor of affiliate MCI WorldCom Communications Inc. for unpaid telecommunications services, saying a district court “exceeded the bounds of its discretion” when it granted CNI more time to appeal.
