Navigating The Transgender Gauntlet

Law360 (November 27, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- On Aug. 8, 2007, Colorado became the 20th state in the nation to prohibit workplace discrimination based upon sexual orientation and the 12th state to designate gender identity as a basis for employment discrimination.

With the passage of this amendment, Colorado joins the growing number of states to recognize the rights not only of gays, lesbians and bisexuals, but also, most notably, of transgender individuals.
