SyFy, NBC Accused Of Stealing 'Face Off' Series Idea

Law360, New York (January 28, 2013, 7:51 PM EST) -- SyFy Media Productions and NBC Universal were hit with a lawsuit in California state court Friday claiming they stole the idea for the “Face Off” reality television show after a pitch meeting with the program's purported creators.

Results Group LLC sued the pair in Los Angeles Superior Court, claiming the production company spent a year exhaustively developing detailed plans for the show, also titled “Face Off,” before pitching it, to SyFy and NBC during a confidential meeting in mid-2009.
