FCC Delays "Premature" Vote On Minority Ownership

Law360 (November 28, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The Federal Communications Commission has put off its vote on an initiative aimed at placing more broadcast services in the hands of women and minorities, delaying a move that some say could have ushered in even more media consolidation.

The two lone Democratic commissioners on Tuesday commended the FCC's decision to push back the “premature vote” on whether and how to encourage more broadcasting services ownership among women and minorities.
