Asarco Settles Some Of Its Environmental Disputes

Law360, New York (November 28, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A court on Tuesday approved four settlements between bankrupt copper-mining company Asarco, the U.S. government and the state of Washington, under which the company will allow general unsecured claims of over $23 million to pay for environmental damage at several mining sites.
