CBS, CNET Blast Artists' Bid For File-Sharing Injunction

Law360, New York (January 29, 2013, 7:15 PM EST) -- CBS Interactive Inc. and CNET Networks Inc. fired back Friday against a bid in California federal court for an injunction on the further distribution of file-sharing software allegedly used to induce website users into illegally downloading content, saying musicians and filmmakers did not show that they face irreparable harm.

In its brief opposing the preliminary injunction, CBS said that an artist coalition, led by film producer and media mogul Alki David, does not meet the necessary burden showing that an injunction is necessary to prevent CBS'...
