Ex-Third Eye Blind Bandmates Clash Over Partnership, IP

Law360, San Francisco (January 29, 2013, 8:42 PM EST) -- Third Eye Blind frontman Stephan Jenkins argued in California federal court Tuesday that former guitarist Anthony Fredianelli was not a full partner in the band and isn't owed the $8 million or copyright co-ownership he seeks for co-writing band hits such as “Semi-Charmed Life.”

Fredianelli's belief that he was a joint partner in Third Eye Blind and entitled to more money was based on a conversation with the band's former manager and a written agreement that was never completed or signed, Jenkins' attorney, Mitchell Greenberg, said....
