Writer Asks Appeals Court to Give Him a Win in 'Lost' Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (January 29, 2013, 10:04 PM EST) -- A screenwriter who claims the hit show "Lost" stole from a script he submitted to ABC in 1977 urged a California appeals court Tuesday to revive his allegations, saying the passage of time does not preclude him from suing the network for breach of contract.

Anthony Spinner argued that a trial judge who found he could not show that the creators of “Lost” had access to his work should be reversed because, among other things, ABC has a policy of retaining submitted scripts indefinitely. The show...
