NJ Turnpike Authority Eyes $1.4B Bond For Roadwork

Law360, New York (January 30, 2013, 6:05 PM EST) -- The New Jersey Turnpike Authority plans to issue a $1.4 billion bond in April to continue construction projects on several of its thoroughfares, an authority spokesman said Wednesday.

The money would come from a $7 billion fund approved as part of the New Jersey Turnpike Authority Capital Project and Investment Plan, a 10-year initiative approved in 2008. The latest disbursement would be the third bond issued from the fund, after the authority borrowed $1.75 billion in 2009 and $1.85 billion the following year.
