J&J Vaginal Mesh Plaintiff Says She Was Used As Guinea Pig

Law360, New York (January 31, 2013, 10:09 PM EST) -- A South Dakota woman who says a vaginal mesh product manufactured by Johnson & Johnson’s Ethicon Inc. destroyed her quality of life told a New Jersey jury on Thursday that she feels she was “used as a guinea pig” to test the product.

Linda Gross, 47, took the stand in the third week of testimony in a New Jersey bellwether trial, telling jurors her life had deteriorated since having her doctor implant Ethicon’s Prolift polypropylene mesh product to repair a pelvic organ prolapse in 2006....
