Twitter, Data Co. Spar On Venue In 'Firehose' Access Row

Law360, San Francisco (January 31, 2013, 9:21 PM EST) -- Social media analytics company PeopleBrowsr Inc. urged a California federal judge Thursday to send its legal row with Twitter Inc. — over access to Twitter's massive “Firehose” data feed — back to state court, arguing that the social-media site violated state, not federal, competition statutes.

PeopleBrowsr sued Twitter in San Francisco Superior Court in November, seeking to preserve its access to Firehose after Twitter threatened to abruptly terminate PeopleBrowsr’s access. Twitter had the case removed to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California...
