Facebook Sues App Maker For Not Deleting Old Profile Info

Law360, Chicago (February 4, 2013, 11:14 PM EST) -- Facebook Inc. sued app developer Profile Technology Ltd. for breach of contract in California federal court Friday, alleging that it copied and improperly stored Facebook users' information and has tried to profit by making it accessible to others on its website.

The social networking behemoth and an Irish subsidiary, Facebook Ireland Ltd., allege that the company has since terminated New Zealand-based Profile Technology as an approved application developer and removed the company's apps from Facebook's services.
