United Pays $1M To Settle Flight Attendants' Paycheck Suit

Law360, New York (February 8, 2013, 3:10 PM EST) -- United Air Lines will pay nearly $1 million to more than 4,000 flight attendants to settle allegations that the airline’s wage payment procedures weren’t in keeping with California labor laws, according to settlement papers filed Thursday in California federal court.

The $925,000 settlement will resolve claims that United violated Labor Code section 204, which requires semimonthly wage payment, and section 226, which requires the inclusion of a clear, itemized breakdown of pay and deductions.
