Cousins Pays $233M For Houston Office Complex

Law360, Houston (February 8, 2013, 4:11 PM EST) -- Cousins Properties Inc. has purchased a 1.3 million-square-foot office in Houston’s Galleria District from J.P. Morgan Asset Management Inc. for $232.6 million, expanding its holdings in Texas, the Atlanta-based real estate investment trust announced Friday.

The acquisition of Post Oak Central, which consists of three Class A office towers located along Post Oak Boulevard between Westheimer Road and San Felipe Street, is in line with Cousins’ efforts to boost its portfolio, according to CEO Larry Gellerstedt.
